Many years ago, I was fortunate enough to call myself a resident of this unique neighborhood for a while. I lived there for a year, in what might well be the most colorful district on the island.

Meanwhile, the small apartment (see photo) has been incorporated into the Kura Hulanda Hotel, built around the turn of the century. During construction, the old buildings were left intact as much as possible, preserving the authentic atmosphere.

This was the beginning of a massive upgrade of Otrobanda.

Fortunately, a large part of the district has been renovated and we can enjoy the stories and murals that Otrobanda is rich in.
