Otrobanda City Tour: discover the colorful heart of Curaçao!

When you think of Curaçao, and especially Otrobanda, you think of color:

- colorful people

- colorful buildings

- colorful murals

- colorful past

And let's hope for a colorful future!

That's fine with Jacqueline from Dundu Tours. Her enthusiasm during the tour through the oldest part of Otrobanda is so infectious that, whether you want to or not, you are completely carried away in the colorful adventure.

She talks passionately about this part of Curaçao in all its facets and does not shy away from uncomfortable topics. Because her nature is always looking for connection, she knows how to fascinate, inform and, above all, animate her group.

She shares fun facts that you don't just discover as a visitor to the island. And even if you have lived here for thirty years, you will still be surprised :)

Many years ago I was allowed to call myself a resident of this special neighborhood for a while. For a year I lived in perhaps the most colorful neighborhood on the island.

The small apartment (see photo) has now been merged into the Kura Hulanda Hotel, built around the turn of the century. During construction, the old buildings were left intact as much as possible, so that the authentic atmosphere was preserved.

This was the start of a huge upgrade of Otrobanda.

Fortunately, a large part of the district has been renovated and we can enjoy the stories and murals that Otrobanda has to offer.

Ever fancy a day away from the beach?

Then sign up here for this wonderful tour and be carried away by Jacqueline's stories.
